FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Therapy is a health care service for clinically diagnosable concerns that are causing problems. Coaching, on the other hand, is not a health care service and is not designed to treat active problems. Instead, coaching is narrowly focused on skill development and growth.

“Evidence-based” means that the tools and approaches have been studied by researchers and shown to have merit. Research studies happen in controlled settings as well as real-life settings. Evidence-based doesn’t mean it works equally well for everyone, and so our work will involve careful assessment and individualization to identify the strategies that will be most effective for you.

Yes, you can, but you can’t be in both with me. In order to ensure that I am operating ethically, if you are a coaching client I will not be able to offer you therapy, and vice versa. To learn more about my therapy approach, click here.
